When I was little, mom read me a story about the mouse and it's house under the ground in the field. It would have lots of grain, herbs and berries hidden in the rooms and a cosy bed made of grass. It gave me such a cosy feeling!
I feel the same when I look at this jewelry box!
Painted with acrylic paints on solid wooden box and sealed with the protection finish. The inside of the drawer is velvet lined.
The mouse got ouside her little den today to get something tasty. Maybe some seeds, or acorn or that tasty berry that sits inside the red lantern plant? Oh, wait there's some blackberries in the garden too! A whole feast for the little mouse!!
The top of the box depicts a branch of "chineese lanterns" (physalis).
The bottom shows us a bush of blooming blackberry with juicy berries.
